outcomes based consulting design to inform & drive change

We can help you make the right choices and effectively implement them.

By deeply understanding your school and organisation we will work with your team to develop a set of actionable goals which, together, will bring your school forwards in concrete and tangible ways.

Starting with your mission, we will work with you to craft an agreed action plan which you and your stakeholders can implement going forwards. No clever words, get out clauses or padding; just a set of strong, actionable proposals.

What kind of outcomes can you expect?

Actions speak louder than words

aligned with your mission

If the Mission is the thing that drives us forwards then the Mission must be the starting point for the whole process of of finding a low impact way of reducing cost and maximising opportunity.

built around your context

Z

clear and very actionable

Each action proposal has to conform to a set of criteria designed to ensure that it is clear, unambiguous and practicable. Only when it has passed our rigorous testing will it pass to your review.

more than the sum of the parts

Action steps are designed to work together to bring a significant, holistic impact to your school. They are designed in sets rather that individually to maximise their positive effect.

A concrete look at the process we will follow

Designed around the unique needs of your organisation

Six clear steps resulting in action & change...

What is the process that will be followed?

The process is designed to be informed, inclusive and collaborative in nature. The goal is to produce a set of realistic actions that will result in short, medium & long terms savings and help the school deliver its strategic goals more effectively.

The 6 steps are:

step 1. Getting to know you

The initial phase is focussed around data and opinion collection. Data collected includes:

  • All documentation submitted to & reports received from accreditation and authorisation reports. For example, IB authorisations, CIS or other accreditation…
  • Online surveys of Middle Leadership Team, Senior Leadership Team & Board (as  appropriate)
  • Skype meeting with Head of School / Business Manager
  • Finance data for the last 3 years including CAPEX, OPEX accounts, Line by line Profit / Loss (before depreciation), enrolment data over the last 5 years, fee structure for the last 5 years, names of ‘Competitor Schools’ with their fee data. Detailed breakdown of staffing and staff costs.

All data will be treated completely confidentially and will never be shared without written consent.

Step 2. Analysis

We analyse the data collected and refer back to the school if we have any unanswered questions.

step 3. school visit

The school visit takes place over 2 days.

Day 1: Starting early 8:00 at the latest and finishing around 16:30. A meeting schedule will be shared and agreed in advance.

Day 2: Starting early 8:00 at the latest and finishing around 13:30. A meeting schedule will be shared and agreed in advance.

Visit will include:

  • Tour of the facility including backend systems (power / water), roof & basement (where appropriate)
  • Meeting with Head of School x 2
  • Meeting with Business Manager x2

step 4. Action report drafted

We will draft an action report that will be 80% complete. This process takes between 4 and 6 weeks to complete.

step 5. Review & revision

We will have an online meeting with your team and carefully review all of the proposals covered in the draft action report. Only proposals that meet a clear set of qualification criteria will make in to the final stage.

step 6. Action report submitted for implementation

We submit the final report to the school in the belief that, if followed, the steps provided will make a difference.

We have a range of other consultancy packages which are designed to assist your journey going forwards.

A collaborative approach which is decisive & actionable

Our clear, six step approach, allows us to deeply get to know your organisation and the people within it.  By the end of the visit stage, our goal is to have a complete picture of the challenges and opportunities that you face, the strategies that you have used and your plans for going forwards.

Our draft action report will build on your thinking and provide additional perspectives  for further discussion.

The final report will be concrete, clear & actionable, providing you with action steps for your consideration.
